Site Purpose

The aircraft models in scale that you are going
to view in this site were not made from kits.
No electric machines, no kit accessories, no
laser cutters, and no computer were necessary for their construction. The
only electric tool that has been used is a small compressor (for the
airbrush used to paint the airplane). No decals were used.
The aluminum is the raw material for the models'
construction.
This is really….... SCRATCHBUILDING !
My models are not just objects. My models are
the result of thousand of hours of study, research, investigation and,
multiple failures.
Someone asked me once, “How do you shape the Me
109 fuselage (with its characteristic smooth curved shape) in aluminum?”
After I explained to him, he replied, “Oh, it's easy!”
My answer to him today is: anything that you
learn the short way is easy! In my case, I did not have the short way.
None of the models displayed in this site are
for sale. All the photos are to show what dedicated modelers can do from
scratch.

The purpose of this web site is to support the
resurgence of the old art of scratchbuilding.
This web site will use more photos than words.
Each photo speaks more than a thousand words!
Since I am working full time for Fine Arts
Models, I don’t have the time to respond to any request for additional
commissions. In the years to come, I would like to teach this art by making
and selling videos, DVDs, photos, CD ROMs and books that would serve
as guides and references, not only for those who are interested in
scratchbuilding, but also for general modelers. |
